NOAA, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, is a government agency which studys the oceans, atmosphere and space. While they are most notably known for weather studies at the National Severe Storms Laboratory in Norman, OK, home of the legendary Storm Chacers, and the National Hurricane Center in Miami, FL, NOAA is heavily involved in research regarding space phenomena, including solar activity. . Of a more terrestial nature, NOAA research affects us daily through study of weather patterns and investigation and experimentation to improve weather forcasting. The National Storm Center is known for it's study of tornados, their formation, strength, paths and so forth.
