My blog, "florida ramblings" gives me opportunity to blow off steam and comment on a variety of world and local events, political happenings, and just plain ramble.. For anyone interested in this type of online diary there are several resources. I chose Blogger simply because it was recommended in an article in PC World but there are many other services out there (search) Blog Search Engine can give a number of resources. Interests include Christian, tech, political, daily living, blogs with no apparent theme and blogs you don't even want to see. If you are interested in it, there's a blog for you. Apparently AOL even offers the service. There are several blogs I like to read on a regular basis and others I like to touch base with ocassionally. There is a list of links both on florida ramblings and in our links area. Like the internet, you have to be careful as you search. You can easily find stuff that does not edify, but there is also much to give insight and inspiration. One of the powerful features of Blogger is that you can fully customize the look using Bloggers templates, other 3rd party templates, or if you know HTML, create your own, inserting Blogger's proprietary code in the appropriate spots. I've use a combination of 3rd party template and modified it with my infantile HTML skills to suit my desire for personalization. |
