July 31:

Army Pvt. Michael J. Deutsch, 21, of Dubuque, Iowa. Killed in Baghdad when his vehicle was struck by an explosive device. Assigned to 1st Squadron, 1st Armored Cavalry Regiment, Armstrong Barracks, Germany.

Army Spc. James I. Lambert III, 22, of Raleigh, N.C. Killed in Baghdad when he was struck by a stray bullet fired during what was believed to be a celebratory event by local nationals. Assigned to the 407th Combat Support Battalion, Fort Bragg, N.C.

July 30:

Army 1st Lt. Leif E. Nott, 24, of Cheyenne, Wyo. Died in Belaruz, Iraq, of wounds received from hostile fire. Assigned to A Troop, 1st Battalion, 10th Cavalry, Fort Hood, Texas.

July 28:

Army Sgt. Nathaniel Hart Jr., 29, of Valdosta, Ga. Died in Tillil, Iraq, of injuries he received when his vehicle went off the road and rolled over. Assigned to the 416th Transportation Company, 260th Quartermaster Battalion, Hunter Army Airfield, Ga.

Army Spc. William J. Maher III, 35, of Yardley, Pa. Died in Baghdad from injuries sustained when an improvised explosive device struck his convoy. Assigned to the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 36th Infantry Regiment, 1st Armored Division, based at Ray Barracks, Germany.

July 27:

Army Sgt. Heath A. McMillin, 29, of Canandaigua, N.Y. Killed south of Baghdad when he came under attack from rocket propelled grenade and small arms fire while on patrol. Assigned to the 105th Military Police Company, Army National Guard, Buffalo, N.Y.

July 26:

Army Spc. Jonathan P. Barnes, 21, of Anderson, Mo. Killed in Baghdad as a result of a grenade being thrown from a window of an Iraqi civilian hospital that he was guarding. Assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 67th Armor Regiment, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.

Army Pfc. Jonathan M. Cheatham, 19, of Camden, Ark. Killed in Baghdad when his convoy came under rocket propelled grenade attack. Assigned to the 489th Engineer Battalion, U.S. Army Reserve, North Little Rock, Ark.

Army Sgt. Daniel K. Methvin, 22, of Belton, Texas. Killed in Baghdad as a result of a grenade being thrown from a window of an Iraqi civilian hospital that he was guarding. Assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 67th Armor Regiment, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.

Army Pfc. Wilfredo Perez Jr., 24, of Norwalk, Conn. Killed in Baghdad as a result of a grenade being thrown from a window of an Iraqi civilian hospital that he was guarding. Assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 67th Armor Regiment, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.

July 24:

Army Cpl. Evan Asa Ashcraft, 24, of West Hills, Calif. Killed north of Al Hawd, Iraq, when his military convoy came under enemy fire. Assigned to Company A, 1st Battalion, 327th Infantry, 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, Ky.

Army Pfc. Raheen Tyson Heighter, 22, of Bay Shore, N.Y. Killed north of Al Hawd, Iraq, when his military convoy came under enemy fire. Assigned to the 2/320th Field Artillery, Fort Campbell, Ky.

Army Staff Sgt. Hector R. Perez, 40, of Corpus Christi, Texas. Killed north of Al Hawd, Iraq, when his military convoy came under enemy fire. Assigned to Company A, 1st Battalion, 327th Infantry, 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, Ky.

Army Sgt. Juan M. Serrano, 31, of Manati, Puerto Rico. Died in Baghdad when he was changing a tire on a military vehicle; it fell on him, inflicting a fatal head injury. Assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 37th Armor, 1st Armored Division, Friedberg, Germany.

July 23:

Army Capt. Joshua T. Byers, 29, of Nevada. Killed when his convoy hit an explosive device east of Baghdad. Assigned to Headquarters, Headquarters Troop, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Armored Calvary Regiment, in Fort Carson, Co.

Army Spc. Brett T. Christian, 27, North Royalton, Ohio. Killed in Mosul, Iraq, when his convoy came under attack by rocket propelled grenades. Assigned to Company C, 2nd Battalion, 502 Infantry, 101st Airborne Div., Fort Campbell, Ky.

July 22:

Army Spc. Jon P. Fettig, 30, of Dickinson, N.D. Killed on the outside of Ar Ramadi, Iraq, when the military truck he was in was hit by a rocket propelled grenade. Assigned to the 957th Engineer Company (V Corps), Bismarck, N.D.

July 21:

Army Cpl. Mark A. Bibby, 25, of Watha, N.C. Died in Baghdad when an improvised explosive device exploded in his convoy to a water treatment facility. Assigned to Headquarters, Headquarters Detachment, 422 Civil Affairs Battalion, Greensboro, N.C.

July 20:

Army Sgt. Justin W. Garvey, 23, of Townsend, Mass. Killed in Tallifar, Iraq, when his vehicle was ambushed and struck by rocket propelled grenades during a patrol. Assigned to Headquarters, Headquarters Company, 1-187 Infantry Battalion, Fort Campbell, Ky.

Army Sgt. Jason D. Jordan, 24, of Elba, Ala. Killed in Tallifar, Iraq, when his vehicle was ambushed by rocket propelled grenades during a village patrol. Assigned to Headquarters, Headquarters Company, 1-187 Infantry Battalion, Fort Campbell, Ky.

Air Force Master Sgt. David A. Scott, 51, of Union, Ohio, died as a result of a non-hostile cause in Doha, Qatar.   He was assigned to the 445th Communications Flight, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.

Army Sgt. 1st Class Christopher R. Willoughby, 29, of Phoenix City, Ala. Died in Baghdad when the vehicle he was riding in rolled over. Assigned to Headquarters, Headquarters Company, 221st Military Intelligence Battalion, Fort Gillen, Ga.

July 19:

Army Second Lt. Jonathan D. Rozier, 25, of Katy, Texas. Died in Baghdad when his unit was fired upon by rocket-propelled grenades and small arms fire while providing security at a municipal building. Assigned to B Company, 2-70th Armor Battalion, Fort Riley, Kan., (1st Armored Division).

July 18:

Army Spc. Joel L. Bertoldie, 20, of Independence, Mo. Killed in Fallujah, Iraq, when an explosive device detonated underneath the military vehicle he was driving. Assigned to Headquarters, Headquarters Company, 4-64 Armor Battalion, Fort Stewart, Ga.

July 17:

Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class David J. Moreno, 26, of Gering, Neb. Killed in Al Hamishiyah, Iraq, from a non-hostile gunshot wound. Assigned to the Naval Medical Center San Diego, Fourth Marine Division Detachment.

Army Sgt. Mason Douglas Whetstone, 30, of Utah. Died in Baghdad as a result of non-combat injuries. Assigned to the 3d Battalion, 58th Aviation (Forward), Hanau, Germany.

July 16:

Army Spc. Ramon Reyes Torres, 29, of Caguas, Puerto Rico. Killed in Baghdad as he sought cover from a passing truck that contained a command detonated device. Assigned to the 432nd Transportation Company, Ceiba, Puerto Rico.

July 15:

Marine Lance Cpl. Cory Ryan Geurin, 18, of Santee, Calif. Died in Babylon, Iraq, when he fell approximately 60 feet from a palace roof where he was standing post. Assigned to the 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, Twentynine Palms, Calif.

July 14:

Army Sgt. Michael T. Crockett, 27, of Soperton, Ga. Killed on patrol in Iraq when he came under a grenade attack. Assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 3rd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment, Fort Stewart, Ga.

July 13:

Army Cpt. Paul J. Cassidy, 36, of Laingsburg, Mich. Died in Camp Babylon, Iraq, as a result of non-combat injuries. Assigned to the 432nd Civil Affairs Battalion in Wisconsin.

Army Sgt. Jaror C. Puello-Coronado, 36, of Pocono Summit, Pa. Died at Camp Edson, Iraq, when the operator of a dump truck lost control and struck him while he was manning a traffic point. Assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 310th Military Police Battalion, in Uniondale, N.Y.

July 12:

Army Spc. Joshua M. Neusche, 20, of Montreal, Mo. Died in Homburg Hospital, Germany, from a non-combat cause. Assigned to the 203rd Engineer Battalion, in Joplin, Mo.

July 11:

Army Spc. Christian C. Schulz, 20, of Colleyville, Texas. Died in Baqubah, Iraq, as a result of non-combat injuries. Assigned to the 3rd Troop, 67th Armor Battalion, Fort Hood, Texas.

July 9:

Army Sgt. 1st Class Dan H. Gabrielson, 39, of Spooner, Wis. Died in Baqubah, Iraq, when the convoy he was traveling in came under hostile fire. Assigned to the 652nd Engineer Company, Ellsworth, Wis.

Army Sgt. Roger D. Rowe, 54, of Bon Aqua, Tenn. Killed in Iraq by an enemy sniper attack. Assigned to the 1174th Troop Command, Columbia, Tenn.

Marine Lance Cpl. Jason Andrew Tetrault, 20, of Moreno Valley, Calif. Killed in Kuwait in a vehicle accident. Assigned to 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, Twentynine Palms, Calif.

Army Sgt. Melissa Valles, 26, of Eagle Pass, Texas. Died in Balad, Iraq as a result of non-combat injuries. Assigned to B Company, 64th Forward Support Battalion, Fort Carson, Colo.

July 8:

Army Sgt. 1st Class Craig A. Boling, 38, of Elkhart, Ind. Died of non-combat related causes in Kuwait. Assigned to Company C, 1-152nd Infantry, Tell City, Ind.

Army Pvt. Robert L. McKinley, 23, of Kokomo, Ind. Died of non-combat related causes in Homberg, Germany. Assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1-101st Air Assault, Fort Campbell, Ky.

July 7:

Army Spc. Chad L. Keith, 21, of Batesville, Ind. Killed while he was on mounted patrol in Baghdad when his vehicle drove past an object that exploded on the side of the road. Assigned to the 2-325th Infantry, Company D, Fort Bragg, N.C.

Army Staff Sgt. Barry Sanford, Sr., 46, of Aurora, Colo. Died of non-combat related causes in Balad, Iraq. Assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 101st Support Group, Fort Campbell, Ky.

July 6:

Army Sgt. David B. Parson, 30, of Kannapolis, N.C. Killed in Baghdad when he was shot while conducting a raid on a house. Assigned to the 1-37th Armored Battalion, 1st Armored Division, Friedburg, Germany.

Army Spc. Jeffrey M. Wershow, 22, of Gainesville, Fla. Killed in Baghdad when he was shot while conducting military operations. Assigned to the 2-124th Infantry, 1st Armored Division, Orlando, Fla.

July 4:

Army Pfc. Edward J. Herrgott, 20, of Shakopee, Minn. Killed while on patrol in Baghdad. He was shot in the neck by a sniper at the museum in Baghdad. Assigned to the 1-36th Infantry Regiment, 1st Armored Division.

July 3:


Marine Cpl. Travis J. Bradachnall, 21, of Multnomah County, Ore. Killed in an explosion during a mine clearing operation near the city of Karbala. Assigned to Combat Service Support Group 11, Camp Pendleton, Calif.

Army Pfc. Corey L. Small, 20, of East Berlin, Pa. Died from a non-combat related cause. Assigned to the 502 Military Intelligence Company, 2 ACR, Fort Polk, La.

July 2:

Army 1st Sgt. Christopher D. Coffin, 51, of Bethlehem, Pa. Killed on a highway in Iraq when his vehicle ran into a ditch while trying to avoid a civilian vehicle. Assigned to the 352nd Civil Affairs Battalion, Riverdale, Md.
