Click on the name to go to the "Fallen Heroes Memorial" page where you can leave condolences and remembrances. December 23, 2003 Army Sgt. Theodore L. Perreault, 33, of Webster, Massachusetts. Perreault died of non-combat related injuries in Camp Bulkeley, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 181st Infantry Regiment, Army National Guard, Joint Task Force Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. November 23, 2003 Army Sgt. Major Phillip R. Albert, 41, of Terryville, Connecticut. Albert was onboard an MH-53 helicopter conducting combat operations when it crashed in Afghanistan. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, New York. Air Force Tech. Sgt. William J. Kerwood, 37, of Houston, Missouri. Kerwood died in an MH-53M helicopter accident in Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 20th Special Operations Squadron, Hurlburt Field, Florida. Air Force Maj. Steven Plumhoff, 33, of Neshanic Station, New Jersey. Plumhoff died in an MH-53M helicopter accident in Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 58th Operations Squadron, Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico. Air Force Staff Sgt. Thomas A. Walkup, Jr., 25, of Millville, New Jersey. Walkup died in an MH-53M helicopter accident in Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 20th Special Operations Squadron, Hurlburt Field, Florida. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Howard A. Walters, 33, of Port Huron, Michigan. Walters died in an MH-53M helicopter accident in Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 20th Special Operations Squadron, Hurlburt Field, Florida. November 14, 2003 Army Sgt. Jay A. Blessing, 23, of Tacoma, Washington. Blessing died of injuries sustained from an improvised explosive device in Asadabad, Afghanistan. He was assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Fort Lewis, Washington. October 30, 2003 Army Staff Sgt. Paul A. Sweeney, 32, of Lakeville, Pennsylvania. Sweeney died of wounds sustained during an ambush near Musa, Qalax, Afghanistan. Sweeney was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. October 8, 2003 Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Darrell Jones, 22, of Wellston, Ohio. Jones died of non-combat related injuries in Jebel Ali, United Arab Emirates. He was assigned to the USS Higgins, home ported in San Diego, California. October 3, 2003 Army Lt. Col. Paul W. Kimbrough, 44, of Washington, D.C. Kimbrough was medically evacuated from Baghram, Afghanistan, to Incirlik, Turkey. He was taken to the 39th Medical Squadron where he remained hospitalized until his death of a non-combat related cause. Kimbrough was assigned to the 416th Engineer Command, Team 28, U.S. Army Reserve, Fort Benning, Georgia. September 29, 2003 Army Pfc. Evan W. O'Neill, 19, of Haverhill, Massachusetts. O'Neill was on patrol in Shkin, Afghanistan when he was engaged by enemy forces. He died of injuries sustained during the attack. O'Neill was assigned to 1st Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, New York. Army Pfc. Kristian E. Parker, 23, of Slidell, Louisiana. Parker died of non-combat related injuries at Camp AS Sayliyah, Qatar. He was assigned to the 205th Engineer Battalion, U.S. Army National Guard, Slidell, Louisiana. September 26, 2003 Army Spc. Lisa M. Andrews, 24, of Lenexa, Kansas. Andrews was on leave from her unit when she was struck and killed by a civilian vehicle as she was walking across U.S. Highway 69 near Overland Park, Kansas. She was assigned to the 129th Transportation Company, U.S. Army Reserve, New Century, Kansas. August 31, 2003 Army Spc. Chad C. Fuller, 24, of Potsdam, New York. Fuller was on patrol in Shkin, Afghanistan when his squad was attacked. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, New York. Army Pfc. Adam L. Thomas, 21, of Palos Hills, Illinois. Thomas was on patrol in Shkin, Afghanistan when his squad was attacked. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, New York. August 29, 2003 Army Sgt. 1st Class Mitchell A. Lane, 34, of Lompoc, California. Lane fell approximately 25 feet when he was conducting a fast rope infiltration into a known enemy cave complex in Afghanistan. Lane was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. August 20, 2003 Navy Photographer's Mate 1st Class (SEAL) David M. Tapper, 32, of Camden County, New Jersey. Tapper died of wounds received in action in Afghanistan. July 9, 2003 Army Sgt. Christopher P. Geiger, 38, of Allentown, Pennsylvania. Geiger died of a non-combat related cause in Bagram, Afghanistan. Geiger was assigned to the 213th Area Support Group, Allentown, Pennsylvania. June 28, 2003 Army Spc. Kelvin E. Feliciano-Gutierrez, 21, of Anasco, Puerto Rico. Feliciano-Gutierrez was a .50 caliber gunner on a vehicle that was returning from patrol when it veered off the road and turned over in Orgun-E, Afghanistan. Feliciano-Gutierrez suffered fatal injuries while trapped under the vehicle. Feliciano-Gutierrez was assigned to Headquarters Company, 3rd Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. June 25, 2003 Navy Interior Communications Electrician First Class Petty Officer Thomas E. Retzer, 30, of San Diego, California. Retzer died of wounds received in action in Afghanistan. May 17, 2003 Army Sgt. 1st Class John E. Taylor, 31, of Wichita Falls, Texas. Taylor suffered a heart attack after completing physical training in Kabul, Afghanistan. Taylor was assigned to 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. April 25, 2003 Army Pvt. Jerod R. Dennis, 19, of Oklahoma. Dennis died of wounds sustained during a firefight with enemy forces in the vicinity of Ne Shkin, Afghanistan. Dennis was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Air Force Airman 1st Class Raymond Losano, 24, of Del Rio, Texas. Losano was a tactical air command and control specialist assigned to the 14th Air Support Operation Squadron, Pope Air Force Base, North Carolina. March 29, 2003 Air Force Staff Sgt. Jacob L. Frazier, 24, of St. Charles, Illinois. Frazier died from wounds sustained in an ambush in Geresk, Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 169th Air Support Operations Squadron, 182nd Airlift Wing, Peoria, Illinois. Army Sgt. Orlando Morales, 33, of Manati, Puerto Rico. Morales died after being wounded when his mounted reconnaissance unit took hostile fire in Geresk, Afghanistan. He was assigned to A Company, 2nd Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. March 23, 2003 Air Force 1st Lt. Tamara Archuleta, 23, of Los Lunas, New Mexico. Archuleta died in an HH-60 Pave Hawk accident in Afghanistan. She was assigned to the 41st Rescue Squadron, Moody Air Force Base, Georgia. Air Force Staff Sgt. Jason Hicks, 25, of Jefferson, South Carolina. Hicks died in an HH-60 Pave Hawk accident in Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 41st Rescue Squadron, Moody Air Force Base, Georgia. Air Force Master Sgt. Michael Maltz, 42, of St. Petersburg, Florida. Maltz died in an HH-60 Pave Hawk accident in Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 38th Rescue Squadron, Moody Air Force Base, Georgia. Air Force Senior Airman Jason Plite, 21, of Lansing, Michigan. Plite died in an HH-60 Pave Hawk accident in Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 38th Rescue Squadron, Moody Air Force Base, Georgia. Air Force Lt. Col. John Stein, 39, of Bardolph, Illinois. Stein died in an HH-60 Pave Hawk accident in Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 41st Rescue Squadron, Moody Air Force Base, Georgia. Air Force Staff Sgt. John Teal, 29, of Dallas, Texas. Teal died in an HH-60 Pave Hawk accident in Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 41st Rescue Squadron, Moody Air Force Base, Georgia. March 17, 2003 Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Jason Profitt, 23, of Charlestown, Indiana. Profitt died of a non-combat related injury while in the Red Sea. He was assigned to the USS Deyo, home ported in Norfolk, Virginia. March 13, 2003 Marine Pfc. James R. Dillon, Jr., 19, of Grove City, Pennsylvania. Dillon died in Kuwait of a non-combat related injury. He was assigned to the 3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division, Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, California. March 8, 2003 Army Pfc. Spence A. McNeil, 18, of Bennettsville, South Carolina. McNeil died from injuries sustained when the vehicle he was traveling in rolled over March 3 near Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He was assigned to B Battery, 3-43rd Air Defense Artillery, Fort Bliss, Texas. February 24, 2003 Army Spc. Rodrigo Gonzalez-Garza, 26, of Texas. Died in Kuwait. Army CWO Timothy W. Moehling, 35, of Florida. Moehling died in the weather-related crash of a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter in Kuwait. He was assigned to 5th Battalion, 158th Aviation Regiment, Giebelstadt, Germany. Army CWO John D. Smith, 32, of Nevada. Smith died in the weather-related crash of a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter in Kuwait. He was assigned to 5th Battalion, 158th Aviation Regiment, Giebelstadt, Germany. Army Spc. William J. Tracy, 27, of New Hampshire. Died in Kuwait. February 6, 2003 Army Spc. Brian M. Clemens, 19, of Kokomo, Indiana. Clemens died as a result of a High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle rollover. He was assigned to C Company, 1-293rd Infantry, Fort Wayne, Indiana. February 5, 2003 CIA Helge Boes, 32, of Virginia. Killed in Afghanistan. February 1, 2003 Army Sgt. Michael C. Barry, 29, of Overland Park, Kansas. Barry died as a result of injuries sustained while a passenger in a vehicle that was struck by another vehicle in Doha, Qatar. Barry was assigned to the 205th Medical Battalion, Missouri Army National Guard, Kansas City, Missouri. January 30, 2003 Army Sgt. Gregory M. Frampton, 37, of California. Died in Afghanistan. Army CWO Thomas J. Gibbons, 31, of Maryland. Died in Afghanistan. Army Staff Sgt. Daniel L. Kisling, Jr., 31, of Missouri. Died in Afghanistan. Army CW3 Mark S. O'Steen, 43, of Alabama.
