This page will introduce you to us,
Steve and Karen Montgomery
Keisha is "her own cat".  She is totally opposite Susie in all things (as would be expected of a cat and dog).  It's just an interesting study when the two subjects are side by side.  Keisha is slow, deliberate, complemtative, and at times just plain devious.  She will sit in the path Susie normally traverses waiting  until Susie passes by, and just as she (Susie) thinks she made it,
Keisha will swat at her.  Susie, despite her energy, is starting to loose her vision and so she will swing around as though to say, "What was that!"  Lately though, she's taken a more "ho-hum" attitude.  "Come on cat, we've played this game long enough!"
Ok, so the pets have to get into the act.  Here's the scoop on them, if you're interested, if not...
This is Susie.  She came to Karen's family some 14 years ago and has been a constant companion to her and David and Jonathan ever since.  Like most animals, she has her querks, yet she is always happy and seems really, really glad to see you.  Honestly, I've never seen an animal, especially a dog, at this stage of life that is so energetic.  She will run circles around
you and really gets going on the wood floors.  She and Keisha have this mutual understanding, "We'll tolerate each other, just stay out of my way".  Recently, they have taken to sharing what used to be Susie's bed.  Susie has it at night, Keisha has it during the day!

On October 24, 2003 we had the sad duty of putting Susie to sleep after discovering several problems she was having were the result of a brain tumor.  It was a difficult decision, but one we knew was right.
